ASEAN Generals Eye Taiwan's Non-Red Supply Chain for Anti-Drone Systems

The 19th Defense Services Asia (DSA) exhibition is currently underway in Malaysia. Although Taiwan did not set up a national pavilion, individual Taiwanese firms showcased cybersecurity and anti-drone technologies that captured the attention of high-ranking officials, including Cambodia's Deputy Defense Minister Yun Min and a Malaysian Navy Vice Admiral. Groundhog Technologies presented its 'Cybersecurity 2.0' system, which utilizes AI and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) to secure critical infrastructure. Zyxel showcased its locally developed active phased array radar systems. Zyxel VP Lee Bing-chin emphasized the growing importance of 'Non-Red Supply Chains' in ASEAN as geopolitical tensions rise in the South China Sea. These radar systems support both 'soft-kill' electronic interference and 'hard-kill' interception, offering a modular and flexible solution against drone threats. The presence of former and active military personnel at the Taiwan booth underscores Taiwan's strengthening role in regional defense cooperation.
