Xiao Xucen stated today that he hopes the board of directors' investigation committee will investigate quickly to clear his name, and he also hopes former National Security Council Secretary-General King Pu-tsung will take good care of Ma Ying-jeou and not run away. King Pu-tsung responded that after the three-member investigation committee completes its report, he will personally explain all relevant facts and will absolutely not evade them.

Recent personnel changes at the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation, involving the departures of former CEO Xiao Xucen and Wang Guangci, have sparked discussions. Ma Ying-jeou previously stated that their departure was due to "financial discipline issues." Ma issued a statement yesterday saying that relevant evidence has been provided to all directors, including the three-member investigation committee, and he urged the committee to complete its investigation report on the evidence as soon as possible.

In a radio interview today, Xiao Xucen mentioned that he no longer knows what proportion of the statements currently issued by the foundation represent Ma Ying-jeou's true intentions. Xiao Xucen also mentioned his hope that the people currently around Ma Ying-jeou, including King Pu-tsung, can take good care of him. "Please do not run away," he said, urging them not to abandon Ma Ying-jeou once the storm passes.

In response, King Pu-tsung stated via a press release that Ma Ying-jeou has asked the three-member investigation committee to complete its report as soon as possible. He sees no need to engage in a tit-for-tat argument with the person involved, which would only cause unnecessary trouble. He simply needs to wait for the three-member committee's final report to be released quickly, let the evidence speak, and once everything is brought to light, the truth will reveal itself.

King Pu-tsung emphasized his commitment to facing the media personally after the three-member committee's investigation report is completed, to fully explain the entire process of his assistance in Ma Ying-jeou's investigation of this matter, along with all related facts, and he will absolutely not evade.

The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation also issued a statement in the afternoon, addressing some media reports claiming that the foundation's cross-strait exchange work would be impacted or interrupted due to the recent financial discipline case. The foundation stated this is inconsistent with the facts. Once the financial discipline case is concluded, the foundation's cross-strait exchanges will continue.
