Taiwanese Defense 'National Team' Debuts at Malaysia's DSA Exhibition, Promoting Non-Red Supply Chains

The 2026 Defense Services Asia (DSA) and National Security Asia (NatSec Asia) exhibitions opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with 37 national pavilions showcasing the latest military technology. Taiwan integrated systems such as military radars, wireless communications, and drones to participate as an industrial 'National Team,' aiming to deploy a 'Non-Red Supply Chain.' The 19th DSA and 4th NatSec Asia began at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) on the 20th for a four-day run. This year, 1,456 military industry companies from 63 countries participated. Taiwanese exhibitors included Zyxel, Getac, and several others. Although Taiwan did not form a national pavilion, it emphasized MIT (Made in Taiwan) capacity and the 'Non-Red Supply Chain' strategy. Li Bing-chin, Vice President of Zyxel, told CNA that Taiwanese exhibitors covered advanced tech such as tactical wireless communication systems, UAV data links, drone countermeasures, and PQC quantum cross-domain cybersecurity. Su Wei-hao from Wise Innovation Technology noted that reducing dependence on 'specific countries' for key drone components is vital for industrial resilience. Wang Sheng-xian from Getac showcased military computers with low security risks and high interference resistance, produced exclusively in Taiwan. Newcomers like Hungkai also displayed ammunition components, marking their first overseas exhibition.
