(CNA Reporter Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, 21st) With technology heavyweights rallying together and high-priced stocks blooming, the Taiwan stock market was pushed up by more than 800 points during intraday trading today, hitting a peak of 37781.83 points. The centralized market index ultimately closed up 646.31 points at 37605.11 points. Both the intraday and closing indexes hit historical highs, with a trading volume of NT$981.525 billion.

The three major heavyweights strengthened simultaneously. Following TSMC's earnings conference and two trading days of brief selling pressure adjustment, it restarted its upward trend today, ultimately rising NT$25 or 1.23% to close at NT$2050. Delta Electronics broke through the NT$2000 mark for the first time, setting a new high, surging NT$115 or 6.05% to close at NT$2015. Foxconn rose NT$3.5 or 1.69%, closing at NT$211.
