The fire has now been extinguished. Police and firefighters rescued a 70-year-old woman who was found without breathing or heartbeat and was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. The cause of the fire is awaiting investigation.

New Taipei City Fire Department received a report around 1 PM that a fire suspected to be from an air conditioner outdoor unit on the second floor of a 5-story building on Daren Street, Sanchong District. 28 vehicles and 46 personnel were dispatched for firefighting. The fire spread to a second-floor room and miscellaneous items on the third and fourth-floor balconies, covering an area of approximately 21 square meters. The fire was extinguished at 1:34 PM.

When firefighters arrived, two people were temporarily trapped on the fifth-floor rooftop but were successfully rescued. A 70-year-old woman was found on the second floor in a state of OHCA (Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest) and was urgently transported to the Sanchong Branch of New Taipei City Hospital.
