(CNA, Taipei, 21st) As the May tax filing season approaches, the Ministry of Finance announced that the filing period for the year 114 individual income tax will be from May 1 to June 1, and the public can begin querying relevant data starting at 8:00 AM on April 28. CNA has compiled the channels for obtaining the query code for readers' understanding.

Data for income and deductions for the year 114 individual income tax settlement and declaration will be open for inquiry starting at 8:00 AM on April 28. Taxpayers can download the data via the internet, file via mobile phones, or go to the nearest National Taxation Bureau for inquiry.

The comprehensive income tax filing period is from May 1 to June 1. Because May 1 to 3 falls on Labor Day and the weekend, the National Taxation Bureaus in various regions will be closed and will not provide over-the-counter services. However, online filing, which begins on May 1, will not be affected. The original filing deadline was May 31, but since it falls on a Sunday, it is postponed to June 1.

The query code is an exclusive password assigned by the National Taxation Bureau to each taxpayer. It is verified along with four pieces of information: the household number on the household registration certificate as of December 31, year 114, the unified ID number, and the date of birth. Once identity is confirmed, income and deduction data can be downloaded.

In addition to being used to log into the online (including mobile) filing system, the "query code" can also be used if there are newly added household members, such as a spouse or dependent relatives. The query code of that member can be used to verify their identity and import their income and deduction data.

1. Online Query: Obtain it online at the Ministry of Finance's e-Filing and Tax Payment Service Website using mobile phone authentication, a registered health insurance card, a natural person certificate, or an electronic certificate.

2. Convenience Store Printing: Bring your natural person certificate to print it at a convenience store multimedia information kiosk (KIOSK). In the past, the public could obtain it using a health insurance card, but to improve the information security environment and upgrade the health insurance card components, convenience stores will no longer provide the service of using health insurance card authentication to obtain the comprehensive income tax assessment year income, the query code, and the reprinting of the tax trial calculation payment slip this year.

3. Tax Bureau Processing: Bring your ID card to the nearest National Taxation Bureau counter to apply; if entrusting someone else to handle it, please bring both parties' ID cards, seals, and a letter of authorization.

4. Tax Trial Calculation: If you receive a tax trial calculation notice, the query code is printed directly at the top of the first page.

The Ministry of Finance also reminds that, in addition to the query code, the public can also use mobile phone authentication, a registered health insurance card, a natural person certificate, a mobile natural person certificate, an electronic certificate, or a medical personnel certificate to verify identity and download income and deductions. The public can choose the most convenient method based on their habits and available tools. (Editor: Lin Hsiang-yun) 1150421
