(Taipei, April 21, CNA reporter Chiang Ming-hsien) With the 2027 Lunar New Year arriving earlier, shortening this year's year-end party season, the battle for year-end party bookings in the hotel industry has begun ahead of schedule. Cloud Hotel & Resorts stated that inquiries have surged since March, and its properties have already received over 100 bookings; Grand Hi-Lai Hotels pointed out that indeed more companies have paid deposits earlier for year-end parties this year, with Taipei Grand Hi-Lai Hotel's pre-Chinese New Year venue bookings already reaching 95%.

The 2027 Lunar New Year is advanced to February 5th, compressing the year-end party peak season and unexpectedly triggering an early booking battle. Cloud Hotel & Resorts' Collection and various properties have observed that corporate willingness to book has significantly advanced this year. In previous years, inquiries and reservations typically began around July to August, but this year, inquiries have surged since March.

As of now, Cloud Hotel & Resorts has received over 100 year-end party orders, demonstrating a strong rigid demand trend for early bookings. Ting Yuan-wei, General Manager of Cloud Hotel & Resorts, stated that this wave of early bird year-end party bookings, half a year in advance, started with iconic hotels in Taipei such as Palais de Chine Hotel, The Victoria Hotel, Hotel Resonance Taipei, and Grand Hi-Lai Hotel, and quickly spread to metropolitan areas like Taoyuan, Taichung, and Tainan. Currently, booked clients range from 25 to 180 tables, with the technology and precision industries, which have stable profits, accounting for the majority of bookings; many companies' year-end party budgets this year have increased by 5% to 15% compared to previous years.

Grand Hi-Lai Hotels told CNA reporters that indeed more companies have paid deposits earlier for year-end parties this year, with some differences between Taipei and Kaohsiung. Taipei Grand Hi-Lai Hotel's venues for before the 2027 Chinese New Year are already about 95% booked, and some have even secured bookings for 2028; Kaohsiung Arena Hotel is also fully booked, and Kaohsiung Grand Hi-Lai Hotel is fully booked from Friday to Sunday, with only weekdays still available.
