During a legislative session on April 21st, KMT legislator Chang Chih-lun questioned Premier Cho Jung-tai regarding the lack of progress on personnel appointments for the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the National Communications Commission (NCC), asking when new nominees would be submitted to the Legislative Yuan for review.

Premier Cho stated that the CEC requires 9 to 11 members. Currently, there are four members, and with four recently approved, the total is only eight, which is still incomplete. Therefore, he has proposed through the ruling party caucus to the opposition caucuses that the remaining three positions be submitted together. He mentioned this is an ongoing effort.

When asked about the expected submission timeline, Premier Cho replied that he would strive to submit them as soon as possible. Responding to Chang's follow-up question about whether it could happen within a month, Cho said, "It won't take that long." However, he also noted that if nominees are put forward hastily and cannot be promptly scheduled for review, it would be difficult for the candidates themselves. Thus, further communication is needed, and current communications are described as positive. (Editor: Zhang Ruoyao, Xie Jiazhen) 1150421
