Taoyuan City Government Promotes Digital Talent Cultivation for Youth, Plans 15 Domains and 75 Courses

Taoyuan Mayor Chang San-cheng attended the "115th Year Taoyuan City Youth Digital Tool Talent Cultivation Program Launch Ceremony" and stated that the program collaborates with the Institute for Information Industry for the first time, emphasizing practical orientation and industry alignment. Through professional instructor-led courses and certification guidance mechanisms, it aims to strengthen AI and digital tool application capabilities, enhance future employment competitiveness.

Chang San-cheng pointed out that with the development of artificial intelligence, the initiative in technology has gradually shifted from government to enterprises. Major tech giants like Google and Microsoft, with their vast computing power and resource advantages, have become the core of AI innovation. The city government, by introducing international industry forces, aims to bridge the gap in academia, allowing students to connect with cutting-edge technologies and enhance practical skills. The city government established the "Taoyuan Smart Industry Academy" last year to continue cultivating in-service talent. In the future, it will combine this with the youth cultivation program to bridge campus and industry demands, developing Taoyuan into a hub for artificial intelligence talent.

The Youth Affairs Bureau stated that Taoyuan has a strong technological industry foundation. The city government integrates industry, government, academia, and research resources to introduce certified courses from international manufacturers like Microsoft and Google, planning a systematic training and certification system to create a cyclical talent ecosystem.
