(CNA, Doha, April 20, comprehensive foreign report) Qatar's Civil Aviation Authority announced today that for the first time since the outbreak of the Middle East war, foreign airline flights will be allowed to land at Qatar's main airport, gradually resuming operations.

According to AFP, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (Qatar Civil Aviation Authority) stated in a statement that the authorities "have issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) announcing that foreign airlines can gradually resume operations at Qatar's Hamad International Airport."

Following the offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28, which triggered a war, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire on the 8th of this month.

During Iran's retaliatory attacks using drones and missiles against Gulf countries, Qatar temporarily closed its airspace and partially reopened it on March 7, but only for flights operated by Qatar Airways.

The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority said that the reopening of airspace to foreign airlines was a decision made after a "comprehensive assessment of the situation," emphasizing that "ensuring flight and overall safety remains the top priority." (Compiled by Hong Pei-ying) 1150420
