'NO GOOD! Old Man' Malaysia promo: Premiere red carpet turns into a dance floor

Director Chang Ching-feng recently led lead actors Christopher Lee, Mark Lee, and Hsu Hsiao-shun to promote it in Kuala Lumpur, turning the premiere red carpet into a dance floor and heating up the atmosphere.

According to media reports from Kwong Wah Yit Poh, Sin Chew Daily, and Oriental Daily News ONLINE, the premiere broke traditional formats by combining online live streaming with offline activities to create a brand new viewing experience. The scene where the three 'Old Men' slowly appeared on the escalator while holding their phones to live stream, walking all the way to the stage, was very eye-catching. They then talked about interesting stories from the filming process and performed a dance on the spot to the catchy theme song 'Pali Pali I Love You', livening up the crowd.

Mark Lee made a bold pledge at the press conference, "If the Malaysian box office surpasses 10 million ringgit (about 80 million NT dollars), the three of us will come back and hold a 90-minute free talk show." However, he immediately followed up with a jab: "I'll just talk with Christopher Lee for 10 minutes, and leave the remaining 80 minutes to Hsu Hsiao-shun!" While the three main actors were doing promotions in Kuala Lumpur, they accepted interviews with Singaporean media via video call. Lianhe Zaobao reported that the story focuses on the midlife crisis, and they believe that maintaining positive thinking and adjusting one's mindset are the best ways to cope.

Hsu Hsiao-shun comforted himself by saying, "Those who like us are also stepping into middle age, so let's walk into the dark tunnel together." Christopher Lee admitted frankly that although the amount of exercise hasn't changed, his body has already conveyed that he's getting older through alarm bells of "pain here and there." He said: "Instead of fighting it, it's better to accept it." Mark Lee encouraged the 'Old Men' to find a new direction, "Don't be affected by the four words 'mid-life cri-sis' (in Chinese)."
