Five-Vehicle Collision on National Freeway 1 in Neihu District; Small Truck Driver Dies from Severe Injuries

At approximately 2:45 PM, Taipei City Police and Fire departments received a report of a multi-vehicle collision on National Freeway 1 Northbound at kilometer 15.4 (Neihu section), with multiple injuries, and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene. Upon investigation, it was found that at the time of the incident, a cement mixer truck inexplicably rear-ended a small truck and three cars in front, causing the driver of the small truck, Mr. Xu, to be found without breathing or heartbeat at the scene. One car driver and three passengers sustained injuries but were conscious and were urgently assisted and sent to the hospital for rescue.
