Defense Budget Hits New Highs, AIDC Aims to Secure New Defense Business

Aerospace and military industry giant AIDC held an investor conference today, stating that with the defense budget repeatedly hitting new highs, AIDC will comply with the government's five major trusted industry policies and fully pursue new defense business. At the same time, AIDC is accelerating its drone development, including its independently developed "drone counter-drone system" and collaborations with domestic and international manufacturers. AIDC expects to secure orders worth nearly NT$25 billion in 2025, covering military business, civil aircraft component manufacturing, and energy engineering turnkey projects, all of which will provide stable revenue support for the next three to five years. With the global aerospace market recovery, AIDC's orders from major international manufacturers like Boeing, Airbus, and Bombardier have seen significant increases. Last year, civil revenue reached NT$17.3 billion, marking a record six consecutive years of growth. Looking ahead, AIDC stated that it will continue to deepen its three core engines: defense, civil, and technology services, enhance efficiency and yield through digital transformation, and strengthen corporate competitiveness amidst changes.
