(Central News Agency, Munich, 14th, comprehensive foreign report) A German court today sentenced a 28-year-old Chinese student to 11 years and 3 months in prison, finding him guilty of repeatedly drugging his girlfriend, rendering her deeply unconscious, sexually assaulting her, and filming the entire abusive process.

Agence France-Presse reported that the Munich court stated the case was similar to France's Gisele Pelicot case, with the defendant assaulting his girlfriend at least seven times while she was unconscious.

The court referred to the defendant as Zhongyi J. (transliteration), noting that he filmed each sexual assault and stored the videos on a hard drive, with one assault lasting over 3 hours.

The court statement said: "The purpose of each offense was to render the victim deeply sedated, unable to resist even with severe pain."

The defendant was convicted of six counts of aggravated rape and two counts of attempted murder.

Presiding Judge Markus Koppenleitner stated before sentencing that these crimes demonstrated "an extremely horrifying contempt for humanity and women."

The court noted: "Even experienced criminal investigators were shocked by the degree of contempt for women in the images."

The court stated that the defendant drugged the victim with a mixture of three anesthetics. During the sexual assaults, the victim's breathing stopped multiple times, and her survival was purely coincidental.

A court spokesperson stated that the defendant came to Germany in 2023 to pursue a master's degree in robotics.

The court noted that the defendant admitted his guilt during the trial, but "despite expressing remorse, he did not fully recognize the severity of his actions."

French woman Gisele Pelicot was repeatedly sexually assaulted by her ex-husband and dozens of men while she was unconscious. She waived her right to anonymity during a trial in 2024, becoming a global symbol against sexual violence.

Pelicot's case resonated strongly, and German TV actress Collien Fernandes, upon discovering a large number of fake pornographic videos featuring her circulating online, publicly fought back, citing Pelicot's case.

Thousands of Germans took to the streets to support Fernandes, sparking a new wave of the "#MeToo" movement against online sexual violence. (Compiler: Chu Hsiang-ping) 1150415
