TAIPEI (CNA) - At the Asian Judo Championships held in China, world No. 8 Taiwanese judoka Yang Yung-wei defeated Kazakh opponent Davlatov in the men's 60kg semi-final today with his signature triangle choke, successfully advancing to the gold medal match.
Yang Yung-wei, who has finished with a silver medal for two consecutive years at the Asian Judo Championships, once again displayed dominance, progressing through the ranks. In the semi-final, he faced Kazakh opponent Sherzod Davlatov once more, reprising last year's semi-final encounter. Yang Yung-wei secured the victory with his signature triangle choke, moving on to the gold medal match and challenging for his first Asian Championships gold medal of his career.
