(Central News Agency reporter Yu Hsiao-han, Taipei, April 14) To cultivate tourism talent, the Tourism Administration today announced that this year's Key Talent Cultivation Program for the Tourism Industry will focus on "Sustainable Resilience x Digital Innovation." It will select 60 trainees from the travel, accommodation, and tourism and recreation industries to participate in study tours in Japan and Thailand.

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Administration today issued a press release stating that the tourism industry faces changes in the global political and economic landscape. Only through systematic talent cultivation and strengthening industry resilience can the goal of sustainable development be achieved.

The Tourism Administration said that talent cultivation not only enhances individual capabilities but also drives the upgrading of tourism products and the improvement of added value through the introduction of innovative service models and digital applications by enterprises, thereby strengthening the overall industry's revenue momentum. This year's cultivation program focuses on "Sustainable Resilience x Digital Innovation" as its core theme, planning advanced executive training and mid-level management courses. Through specialized and thematic courses, it continues to cultivate high-quality talent for the tourism industry.

The Tourism Administration pointed out that the "Advanced Executive Training Program" in the talent cultivation plan will continue to introduce systematic faculty from top domestic and international universities, leading trainees to learn new management knowledge and new trends in sustainable development and digital technology in the tourism industry. To align with international standards, after completing domestic courses, the travel industry group is planned to visit the Tohoku region of Japan, the accommodation industry group to Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand, and the tourism and recreation industry group to the Kanto region of Japan for study tours.

In addition to the advanced executive training program, the Tourism Administration stated that the mid-level management training courses have been upgraded to cultivate the entire industry chain, strengthening regional integration and cross-domain cooperation capabilities. This year, related industries such as tourism circles and tourism factories are also open for participation for the first time, prioritizing the training of operators with international reception potential, and offering thematic courses such as narrative marketing, hospitality experience design, and AI tool application capabilities.

The Tourism Administration noted that information on the selection announcement for the Advanced Executive Training Program and related information for the Mid-level Management Training Courses can be found on the "2026 Key Talent Cultivation Program for the Tourism Industry" webpage.
