(Central News Agency, Chiayi County, April 16) TCC Chiachiang Green Energy Company, in collaboration with the sustainable tourism team 'Island Walk,' held a fishery-electricity symbiosis themed tour in Chiayi County today. The tour connected smart fish farms, repurposed abandoned school buildings, and the preserved turnip industry, showcasing the vision of green energy and rural prosperity, which the County Government welcomed.

TCC Chiachiang Green Energy hosted the fishery-electricity symbiosis experience tour, visiting TCC's Yizhu fishery-electricity symbiosis site, the reborn abandoned campus of Zhengyi Elementary School in Budai Township through community development, experiencing the manufacturing process of Budai's specialty preserved turnips, and savoring local creative cuisine. Representatives from Chiayi County's Culture and Tourism Bureau, Agriculture Department, and Economic Development Department participated.

Shen Ya-ru, Chief of the Planning Section of the Culture and Tourism Bureau, told CNA that this event comprehensively integrated fisheries, agriculture, and industry. Through the 'farm-to-table' plan, local ingredients were showcased with innovative methods. Visitors not only heard stories closely connected to the land but also experienced local flavors with their taste buds, bringing new feelings and creating new ways of traveling.

Chang Jian-cheng, Chief of the Fisheries Section of the Agriculture Department, said that ordinary people do not understand the operation of fishery-electricity symbiosis. TCC's organized site visits, conducted through 'food and agriculture education,' can enhance public knowledge of how aquaculture is carried out under solar panels, eliminate misunderstandings, and is welcomed.

Chiu Yi, CEO of 'Island Walk,' stated that the trend in corporate management has extended from corporate governance to environmental and social care. Therefore, 'Island Walk' leveraged its experience in local creation to help TCC and community partners co-create the tour, transforming energy facilities into heartwarming rural stories.

TCC stated that 'tech fish farmers' are recruited for the photovoltaic sites in Yizhu and Budai, introducing smart aquaculture technology and probiotic assistance for fishermen. Visitors on the tour can personally understand how low-carbon power generation and fresh aquatic products coexist harmoniously, demonstrating that planting electricity can still yield high-quality fishery products, increasing fishermen's income.
