Taoyuan City Department of Youth Affairs held a press conference today to launch the "Youth Public Participation Venue Support Program." The program will recruit up to 10 demonstration venues, encouraging local businesses to transform into multi-functional spaces to become daily hubs for local revitalization and youth public participation.

Hou Chia-ling, Director of the Taoyuan City Department of Youth Affairs, stated in her speech that the city government has continuously assisted youth teams in cultural curation, food and agriculture education, community development, and local industry innovation through empowerment and base systems. This year, the "Youth Public Participation Venue Support Program" was further launched to recruit up to 10 demonstration venues.

Hou Chia-ling pointed out that the Department of Youth Affairs will provide an incentive of NT$30,000 to selected units and produce a "Taoyuan Youth Exchange Hub Map" for promotion, helping first-line cafes, independent bookstores, cultural and creative clusters, or craft bases to enhance their topicality and visibility. Any organization, business, or company legally registered in Taoyuan City, with a person in charge aged between 18 and 45, is eligible to apply.

The Department of Youth Affairs stated that considering resource balance, this year will prioritize screening areas with scarcer resources or where no local creation teams have yet developed as pilot targets. The program is now open for online applications, with a deadline of 5 PM on May 31st, inviting private organizations to participate and jointly establish a network for local revitalization display and exchange.
