(CNA Reporter Wang Hsin-yu, Taipei, 17th) Hosted by the Taipei Music Center, the "Taipei Music Unplugged" auditions are open until May 3rd. The jury includes producers Li Ssu-chia, Da-wei, Tai Chu, and international judges. The champion team will participate in an international matchmaking program to perform abroad.
According to information provided by the Taipei Music Center, this year's judges will evaluate from multiple perspectives. Tai Chu, with record planning experience, will focus on sharp market observation; veteran music producer Da-wei (Liu Che-lin) will evaluate live performance charisma; and producer Li Ssu-chia will focus purely on the music to select 20 potential teams for the semi-finals.
International judges include MC Galang, co-founder of Philippine music company The Rest Is Noise (TRIN PH), and Daichi Morita, manager of the Tokyo music venue Spotify O-nest. They will help select musicians best suited for the international market.
The finals will take place in July at the Taipei Music Center's outdoor performance space and in front of the Cultural Cube. Four winning teams selected from the top 10 will earn the chance to perform at the "JAM JAM ASIA" music festival, and the champion group will get to perform overseas. (Editor: Lee Shu-hua) 1150417
