Taipei City Delegation Sets Off for National Middle School Athletic Games in Chiayi

The 2026 (Year 115) National Middle School Athletic Games are scheduled to take place in Chiayi from April 18 to 23. Taipei City officially held a flag-off ceremony today at Datong High School, led by Deputy Mayor Lin Yi-hua. The city is sending 1,597 athletes from 105 schools to participate in the prestigious competition. Last year, Taipei secured the top spot nationwide with 145 gold medals and a total of 419 medals, breaking 14 meet records. Deputy Mayor Lin emphasized the city's commitment to providing training resources and psychological support for the young athletes to help them achieve their best in this year's games.
