The New Taipei Department of Health announced today that Salmonella was detected in 4 bento boxes from the Gongsuo and Zhongxing branches. Affected individuals can register for compensation through three channels: LINE, email, and telephone.

The New Taipei City Department of Health stated today that as of the 14th, a total of 173 people have reported illness in the suspected food poisoning case at Qing Liu Shokudo in Xindian. The public's dining time was concentrated between the 4th and 5th. Among them, 117 people who consumed bento boxes from the Gongsuo branch and 56 from the Zhongxing branch successively developed symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fever. Currently, 11 people are hospitalized, while the rest have returned home to rest after seeking medical treatment.

The Department of Health explained that the test results were released today. Four food samples, including the pork hock bento and roast pork bento from the Gongsuo branch, and the fried chicken leg bento and pork hock bento from the Zhongxing branch, all tested positive for Salmonella. Environmental samples were all negative. Whether the operator is criminally liable and the relevant test results have been transferred to the prosecution for investigation and clarification. The three branches of Qing Liu Shokudo—Gongsuo, Zhongxing, and Minquan—remain suspended.

The Consumer Protection Office of the New Taipei City Legal Affairs Bureau pointed out this afternoon that based on the results of the Department of Health's investigation, the causal relationship of this food poisoning incident has been confirmed. Consumer Protection Officer Chung Chia-ju said that consumers who purchased bento products from Qing Liu Shokudo and Da Fang Snack Shop (the business registration name of Qing Liu Shokudo's Gongsuo branch) on April 4th and 5th and experienced physical discomfort can provide the following documents to request insurance claims.

The Consumer Protection Officer explained that the required documents include consumption invoices or food delivery platform order records, and medical diagnosis receipts. If there is a loss of work, leave slips and salary certificates can also be provided.
