(Central News Agency reporter Hung Su-chin, Taipei, 15th) Despite recent layoff rumors, TVBS enthusiastically held a press conference today for its new drama "The Prophecy That Makes Your Heart Flutter." Directed by Peter Ho, the series features Thai actress Chutimon, known for "Bad Genius," alongside Chen Hao-sen and Tsao Yu-ning, who will portray a complex love triangle.

Amid rumors of layoffs and ownership changes, TVBS previously stated it was not operating at a loss and had no plans for ownership alteration. Today, TVBS hosted the cast announcement press conference for "The Prophecy That Makes Your Heart Flutter." Director Peter Ho led the cast, including Thai actress Chutimon (Aokbab), Chen Hao-sen, Tsao Yu-ning, and Singaporean actor Cai Cheng-jun, to share their experiences of this international collaboration.

Peter Ho mentioned that he spent two years preparing for this project, with one year dedicated solely to this new drama, working only 14 days on other projects. He specifically invited Chutimon (Aokbab), who rose to fame with "Bad Genius" and won the International Emmy Award for Best Actress for "Hunger," to play the lead role. Chutimon, taking on her first Taiwanese drama, admitted that speaking Chinese throughout the series was a major challenge, and mastering the Taiwanese accent was difficult. Peter Ho praised Chutimon's diligent efforts in learning Chinese, noting that she shed tears while reading the script. He found her performance very fluid, without the feeling of reciting lines, stating, "Chutimon made many efforts to adapt to the role, rather than expecting everyone to accommodate her."

Chutimon has romantic scenes with Chen Hao-sen and Tsao Yu-ning in the drama. Chutimon found Chen Hao-sen easy to talk to, as he often told puns to amuse her. Tsao Yu-ning commented that Chutimon completely let go during script readings. "Chutimon looked at me very intently, which initially startled me, but after getting used to it, I felt great," he said.

Tsao Yu-ning plays a basketball player in the drama, despite being a former baseball player. He admitted that becoming a professional basketball player was not easy. Peter Ho required him to eat 10 bowls of rice daily to sculpt his physique and arranged for a professional coach to teach him basic basketball moves. Although Tsao Yu-ning appears lean now, his body's muscle definition is very precise and perfect.

In addition to Thai actress Chutimon, Singaporean actor Cai Cheng-jun also collaborated on the drama. Both Chutimon and Cai Cheng-jun expressed their joy in filming in Taiwan and their fondness for Taiwanese cuisine. Chutimon enjoyed Taiwanese medicinal stews, while Cai Cheng-jun praised braised pork rice but noted the need to maintain his physique. (Editor: Li Heng-shan) 1150415
