The government encourages the children of new residents to learn their native languages, enabling them to possess greater international competitiveness through their language advantages in the future. The Ministry of Education has subsidized local guidance teams with NT$8.16 million in fiscal year 114 (2025), integrating AI technology and digital literacy to enhance teaching quality.

The Ministry of Education announced today that during the recent "National New Resident Language Education Guidance Team Annual Conference," over 300 teachers, scholars, and experts from various counties and cities gathered to focus on the development trends and teaching practices of new resident language education.

In recent years, AI (Artificial Intelligence) has influenced the education sector, with teachers striving to learn and utilize generative AI tools to improve teaching efficiency. For example, in elementary and middle school new resident language courses, where students often have varying proficiency levels, teachers can use AI tools to quickly design customized teaching materials, diverse assessments, and analyze data to better grasp students' learning progress.

This year's annual conference also featured an achievement exhibition zone where each county and city guidance team showcased the results of their new resident language education initiatives and teaching practices. The exhibits covered curriculum development frameworks, innovative teaching designs, applications of teaching materials and digital resources, records of teaching activities, and multi-language learning achievements by students.

The Ministry of Education stated that it will continue to optimize the "New Resident Children's Education Information Network," integrating functions such as course selection surveys, training courses, funding applications, digital material management, and teaching support. This will build a one-stop administrative process to effectively reduce the administrative burden for schools and teachers. (Editor: Li Xi-zhang) 1150418
