Li Hao-yu Hits First Homer of Season, Fairchild's 3 Hits and Homer Lead Charge

(Central News Agency reporter Su Chi-yu, Taipei, April 16) Tigers 3A Taiwanese infielder Li Hao-yu hit his first home run of the season today. Red Sox 3A's Cheng Tsung-che drew two walks. In another game, two mixed-heritage players competed, with Guardians' Fairchild delivering 3 hits and a home run, while Cubs' Long had one hit in five at-bats.

Li Hao-yu, playing for the Detroit Tigers' 3A team, batted second as designated hitter against the Cincinnati Reds' 3A team today. In the top of the 8th inning, he hit a 2-run homer to right field off a 97.5 mph (approximately 156.9 km/h) sinker from pitcher Luis Mey.

The Tigers' 3A team ultimately lost 5-9. Li Hao-yu recorded one hit in four at-bats, with a batting average of .154. He started the season in the 1A rehabilitation games and hit his first home run in his sixth game at 3A.
