(CNA Tokyo, April 17) The Japanese stock market closed lower today as investors focused on signs of further negotiations between the United States and Iran, and whether the ceasefire agreement would be extended after its expiration next week.
The Nikkei 225 index, the benchmark for Japanese stocks, fell 1042.44 points, or 1.75%, to close at 58475.90 points.
