Dongshan River Tourism Alliance Established, Integrating Cross-Regional Efforts to Promote Yilan's New Tourism Highlights

The Yilan County Government announced today the establishment of the 'Dongshan River Tourism Alliance,' which connects tourism industry units in Dongshan, Luodong, and Wujie townships. It has also launched two major themed tours, 'Sui Zai Yilan' and 'Roaming Dongshan River,' to lead tourists in experiencing the beauty of Lanyang's summer. The 'Dongshan River Basin Tourism Industry Alliance Recreational Corridor Highlight Creation Project,' executed by the Yilan County Government with subsidies from the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, is in its second year. Today, the 'Dongshan River Tourism Alliance Establishment and Tour Marketing Press Conference' was held at the county hall, announcing the integration of industrial resources along the upper, middle, and lower reaches of the Dongshan River to promote Yilan tourism internationally. The County Government's Industrial and Tourism Department stated that the organizational structure of the 'Dongshan River Tourism Alliance' emulates the concept of Japan's DMO (Destination Marketing Organization), breaking administrative boundaries and integrating resources from over 500 local businesses across Dongshan, Luodong, and Wujie townships, covering food, accommodation, travel, shopping, and transportation, to provide high-quality local connections and enhance overall service quality. As summer approaches, the alliance combines natural ecology and water culture to launch two major themed tours, 'Sui Zai Yilan' and 'Roaming Dongshan River,' leading travelers to experience the beautiful summer scenery of Lanyang. Among them, the 'Suihua Qipan Jiao' (Barringtonia racemosa), known as the 'summer night fireworks' in the Dongshan River basin, is currently in full bloom. Registrations for the 'Sui Zai Yilan' themed tour are open from May 20 to July 20, inviting tourists to appreciate Yilan's summer night atmosphere. The Dongshan River boasts gentle waters and charming riverside scenery, making it one of Taiwan's few rivers where diverse watercraft experiences are available. The 'Roaming Dongshan River' themed tour, launched from June 6 to August this year, plans a buy-one-get-one-free experience for different watercrafts along the upper, middle, and lower reaches of the Dongshan River, allowing the public to rediscover this 'River of Life' for Yilan residents from the water.
