Xue Jia-kai, traffic team leader of the Dayuan Precinct, stated that Mr. Zhou was driving the container truck at 10:44 AM when he encountered slowing vehicles ahead, leading to the overturning due to emergency braking. This caused the southbound lanes to be closed. No one was injured, and Mr. Zhou's alcohol test was 0. Xue Jia-kai noted that after the accident, the Dayuan Precinct immediately activated an emergency traffic response, notifying towing operators and dispatching personnel to the Zhuwei exit ramp at the 22 km mark of Provincial Highway 61 to guide vehicles onto surface roads to prevent traffic congestion. The Dayuan Precinct urges drivers to pay attention to road conditions, maintain a safe distance, and avoid dangerous situations. Police stated that as of 2:30 PM, the overturned truck had been towed away, and the Zhongli Engineering Section was continuing with cleanup operations. However, one lane has been temporarily cleared for traffic. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the affected sections.
