(Central News Agency reporter Gao Hua-qian, Taipei, April 13) The Executive Yuan's Public Construction Commission today announced the results of the 2025 Procurement Audit Group performance evaluation. The Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of the Interior, and Ministry of Environment, as well as six local governments including Taoyuan City, New Taipei City, Taipei City, Taichung City, Tainan City, and Penghu County, received excellent ratings.

The Executive Yuan's Public Construction Commission stated in a press release today that 16 ministries and 22 local governments have established procurement audit groups. The agencies rated as excellent not only had complete case files and high-quality audit reports but also demonstrated administrative efficiency, effectively followed up on corrective measures by audited agencies, and proactively promoted solutions by compiling relevant deficiency cases, feeding back discovered problems to establish resolution mechanisms, maximizing the effectiveness of audit supervision.

The Commission stated that the core purpose of the procurement audit mechanism is to actively assist various agencies in conducting procurement in accordance with the law and to correct improper behaviors through audit supervision, thereby creating a more open, fair, and transparent procurement environment.

The Commission pointed out that the 2025 evaluation results show that various audit agencies have generally demonstrated a proactive attitude of continuous improvement and effective supervision. This is related to the "Full Life Cycle Procurement Audit and Supervision Focus" promoted by the Commission since 2019. Through this system, the scope of auditing is no longer limited to the legality of a single stage but extends to the entire procurement life cycle, which helps to continuously and steadily improve the effectiveness of audit supervision.

The Commission stated that it will continue to cooperate with audit groups of various agencies to deepen supervision efforts. In addition to requiring compliance with procurement procedures, it will also strengthen the representativeness of audit case selection through data analysis, leveraging audit quality and supervision effects to improve government administrative efficiency, thereby deepening public trust in public construction and procurement procedures.
