Hsinchu City's 'Zhuang Zhuang Card' Launches April 20, Allowing Children to Claim Milk or Soy Milk by Preference

(Central News Agency, reporter Lu Gang-jun, Hsinchu City, 16th) Hsinchu City Government is promoting the "Fresh Milk for Every Student" policy, distributing an exclusive redemption card called the "Zhuang Zhuang Card" to children aged 2 to 12. Starting April 20, the card can be used at designated channels to redeem fresh milk or soy milk, a move some parents find highly practical.

A parent surnamed Ji pointed out to the CNA reporter that calcium and protein are essential during the developmental stage. This policy allows children to choose different flavors of fresh milk or soy milk depending on their mood, making them look forward to it more. Additionally, the Zhuang Zhuang Card also functions as an EasyCard, allowing users to take public transportation and ride shared bicycles, combining health and lifestyle functions.

A fifth-grade elementary school student said that in the past, after registering for a drink at school, they could only have the same fresh milk or soy milk for the entire semester. In the future, through the "Zhuang Zhuang Card," they can get various flavored drinks, which will increase their willingness to collect them.

The Hsinchu City Government's Department of Education stated via text that this plan, designed for public and private elementary school and kindergarten students, breaks the traditional restrictions of unified school distribution, allowing parents and children to flexibly choose fresh milk or soy milk based on taste preferences or physical conditions.

The Department of Education pointed out that after receiving the card, students and parents should first verify the name and identification code on the back, and be sure to "take a photo to save it." In the future, if they forget to bring the physical card, they can still complete the collection by showing a clear photo at the channel and manually entering the serial number.

Regarding the collection rules, the Department of Education said that starting April 20, one bottle of fresh milk or soy milk (37 choices in total) can be collected at designated channels every week, and it will be supplied as usual during winter and summer vacations. Parents can use the card to collect it on their behalf, but they need to pay attention to the quota. It adopts a current-week collection system and cannot be accumulated to the following week.
