(CNA Reporter Pan Chih-yi, Taipei, 16th) As US-Iran negotiations showed a glimmer of hope and investors anticipated positive news from TSMC's earnings call, the Taiwan stock market hit another record high today. The index finished up 409.88 points, closing at 37,132.02 points. Foreign investors bought a net 44.007 billion NTD, with the largest additions being Capital ICE Taiwan ESG High Dividend Index ETF (00919) with 41,246 shares, followed by Cathay MSCI Taiwan ESG Sustainability High Dividend Yield ETF (00878) with 40,034 shares, and UMC with 33,873 shares in third place.

Foreign net selling was led by the panel dual-tigers, Innolux and AUO.

Taiwan stocks rose 409.88 points today to close at 37,132.02 points, with a turnover of 886.792 billion NTD. The three major institutional investors saw a combined net buy of 51.522 billion NTD: foreign and mainland Chinese investors bought a net 44.007 billion NTD, proprietary traders bought a net 11.845 billion NTD, and investment trusts sold a net 4.33 billion NTD.

In addition to the Capital ICE Taiwan ESG ETF, Cathay ESG High Dividend, and UMC, the top 10 foreign net buys included Taishin Shin Kong Financial, Nan Ya Plastics, Formosa Plastics, Yuanta Taiwan Value High Dividend (00940), Dahua High Dividend (00918), HannStar Display, and Taiwan Business Bank.
