The City Council was also affected, but fortunately, power was restored before 1:00 PM.
The Taichung City Council was holding financial and economic business interpellations, and suddenly the entire building lost power during the lunch break. Taipower's Taichung District Office explained that at 12:38 PM, about 300 households in the area of Huizhong Road and Wenzhong Road in Xitun District lost power. The cause was a vehicle crashing into a transformer box on Huizhong Road, which caused a voltage drop for users on the same feeder line.
Taipower stated that after the incident, they immediately dispatched personnel to the scene for inspection and repair.
