The Tainan City Police Department's Second Precinct told a CNA reporter today that 47-year-old Su, who had been unemployed for a long time and was short of money, walked into a fast-food restaurant in the West Central District around 8 PM last night carrying a kitchen knife and a fruit knife. When she reached into the cash register to steal money, she was spotted and stopped by a clerk. Su then escalated the situation from theft to robbery, brandishing the kitchen knife and fleeing with 5,000 NTD.
