(CNA Reporter Chang Chien-chung, Hsinchu, 15th) Foundry giant TSMC's stock price continued to rise today, reaching 2080 TWD in early trading, setting a new record high, with its market capitalization climbing to 53.9 trillion TWD.

The market regained hope for an end-of-war agreement in the Middle East, leading to an across-the-board rally in major US indices on the 14th. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 317.74 points, the Nasdaq index rose 455.35 points, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 184.6 points.

TSMC's American Depositary Receipts (ADR) rose $10.32, or 2.79%, to close at $379.89. Following the new record of 2055 TWD set on the 14th, TSMC moved further higher today, reaching 2080 TWD in early trading, an increase of 25 TWD, setting another all-time high, pushing its market value to 53.9 trillion TWD and contributing about 198 points to the broader market index.

TSMC is scheduled to hold an online institutional investors' conference on April 16.
