(CNA Reporter Huang Hsu-sheng, New Taipei City, 15th) New Taipei City's Sanchong Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School, Tamsui Commercial Industrial Vocational Senior High School, and Ruifang Industrial High School have transformed their practical training workshops, combining design and educational innovation to win four design awards. They shared their achievements at a municipal meeting today, demonstrating the upgrading of vocational education spaces and the creation of learning environments closely aligned with actual industrial worksites.

The New Taipei City Education Department stated that through reorganizing flow and space, bringing in professional design teams, and co-creating with teachers and students, the three schools have overturned the traditional outdated image of vocational training areas. This effort was recognized by Japan's GOOD DESIGN AWARD, Germany's iF Design Award, the US's IDA International Design Awards, and Taiwan's TID Award.

Kuo Yu-chen, principal of Ruifang Industrial High School, told a CNA reporter that the school, founded over 90 years ago, has witnessed the evolution of technical education. Operating electronic circuits requires rigorous and meticulous attention, demanding full concentration on inspecting, assembling, soldering, and testing on the desk. This time, through space renovation and the integration of electrical equipment, a double-layer operating table was created, balancing information display with operational flexibility and improving learning efficiency.

She noted that the classrooms adopted an orange-yellow color scheme to increase brightness, improving the previously gloomy atmosphere. Seating orientations were also adjusted to make teaching demonstrations clearer, while the walls integrated storage systems, transforming a single-function processing workshop into a versatile creative implementation space.

Student Lin Chin-ying shared that the new training workshop is no longer cold and cluttered. The comfortable environment makes learning more approachable, allowing for better focus on technical operations and exploration.

Tamsui Commercial Industrial Vocational Senior High School told the CNA reporter that before the renovation, the workshop was like a warehouse, suffering from insufficient lighting, exposed pipes, and poor flow. After systematic reconstruction, the space became bright and tidy, not only boosting efficiency but also enhancing the professional atmosphere. The design utilized an "operating room" concept to cultivate students' abilities in tool management and environment maintenance, establishing a spirit of craftsmanship.

Designer Fang Chun-chieh, who participated in the Sanchong Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School renovation, stated in a press release that a learning environment combining both aesthetics and function can serve as a vital medium to facilitate learning, further stimulating students' imagination regarding their future careers.
