Trump Orders Naval Blockade of Iran, Israeli PM Expresses Support

U.S. President Donald Trump decided to implement a naval blockade against Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed support for this decision on April 13, emphasizing his government's full coordination with Washington on the matter. According to a video statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu stated in a cabinet meeting that 'Iran violated the rules (in Pakistan peace talks), and President Trump decided to implement a naval blockade.' He added, 'We certainly support this firm stance and continue to coordinate with the United States.' Following the breakdown of U.S.-Iran negotiations last weekend, the U.S. military announced that it would impose a blockade on all Iranian ports starting today. The U.S. military indicated that the blockade would commence at 14:00 GMT (10:00 PM Taiwan time) and apply to all vessels leaving or attempting to dock at Iranian ports on both sides of this critical waterway.
