Taiwan stocks rise 39.46 points

(Taipei, CNA, 13th) The Taipei stock market saw volatile trading today, closing up 39.46 points at 35457.29, a gain of 0.11%, with a total transaction value of NT$778.766 billion.

The weighted index opened at 35422.91 points, reached a high of 35552.49 points during trading, and a low of 35261.73 points. The index excluding financial stocks was 31852.83 points, up 61.19 points.

Changes in the eight major stock categories: ceramics and kilns rose by 2.72%, food stocks by 0.26%, plastics and chemicals by 3.37%, textiles fell by 0.02%, electrical machinery rose by 0.06%, paper fell by 0.03%, construction fell by 0.03%, and financial stocks fell by 0.83%.

The number of bid shares was 23.515 million, the number of ask shares was 14.079 million, and the number of transacted shares was 10.68 million.

At closing, 600 stocks rose, 410 fell, and 84 remained unchanged.

The top 5 stocks by trading volume were Yuanta/P-shares Taiwan Dividend Plus, AU Optronics, Innolux, Yuanta/P-shares Taiwan High Dividend Plus, and KGI Taiwan TOP50.

Top 5 rising stocks were Tienli Electric, Ennostar, Hongjing Construction, Double Bond Chemical, and Genus Optronics.

Top 5 falling stocks were United Renewable Energy, Shinfox Energy, Pericom Semiconductor, Yuanta S&P Oil Futures Inverse 1, and Chung Fu. 1150413
