(CNA Reporter Huang Qiaowen, Taipei, 14th) A passenger on a Taiwan Railways (TRA) local train began yelling uncontrollably as the train passed through Wudu station today, causing panic among other passengers. TRA stated that after multiple failed attempts by the conductor to calm the individual, railway police were notified and the transport contract was terminated. The passenger was subsequently escorted off the train by police at Nangang station.

Regarding the incident, the TRA corporation issued a written statement explaining that when local train No. 2153 arrived at Wudu station today, the conductor noticed a male passenger in the 5th car talking to himself. When the conductor approached to advise him, the passenger began cursing loudly, yelling incessantly, and then turned his insults toward nearby passengers.

TRA pointed out that the conductor's repeated warnings were ineffective, leading to a report to Nangang station to call the Nangang railway police for assistance. The passenger's transport contract was terminated, and he was taken off the train by police at Nangang station. (Editor: Chen Qingfang) 1140414
