(CNA Reporter Huang Li-yun, Taipei, 14th) A man standing on a street in Taipei early this morning exhibited an abnormal posture. Netizens hotly debated that he looked like a zombie and suspected he had used the drug fentanyl. Taipei police stated tonight that they arrested the suspect, surnamed Tsai, with a search warrant and seized the drug heroin, finding no fentanyl.

Several netizens posted that the drug fentanyl had appeared in Taiwan, attaching a video of a man acting like a zombie to warn others. The police stated that initial checks showed nothing unusual, but they would continue to monitor the situation.

Following further investigation, the Wanhua Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department stated in the evening that, in response to footage taken by the public of a man on Huanhe South Road suspected to be out of control after using drugs, a task force applied for a search warrant. Around 6 PM, they arrested suspect Tsai near Wanda Road and seized evidence including heroin and amphetamine residue bags, finding no other drugs.

The Wanhua Precinct stated that this case has nothing to do with the drug fentanyl and they will collect Tsai's urine for further testing. At the same time, they urged the public to stay vigilant, reject drugs, and report any drug-related clues to the police. (Editor: Hsiao Po-wen) 1150414
