Kenting National Park Headquarters Launches "Listen to Kenting" Music Series; Symphony Orchestra to Perform at Eluanbi

The Kenting National Park Headquarters announced the launch of "Listen to Kenting," an outdoor music brand. The inaugural concert, "Peninsula's Music Book," is scheduled for May 2, 2026, at Eluanbi Park, a site known for its lighthouse and coral reef formations. The Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Chang Yin-fang, will perform, joined by baritone Xu Yi-sheng, yueqin player Xue Rong-han (Ham), the Paiwan Bella Youth Vocal Group, and artist Xiao Xian (Huang Yu-xian). The program includes re-arranged Hengchun folk songs and ancient tunes, alongside music from other peninsula regions globally, promoting cultural exchange. Director Xu Shu-guo stated the event aims to offer a unique national park experience. Executive Director Zhu Hong-chang of the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra expressed honor in participating in this local music brand. "Listen to Kenting" is planned as an annual event, with future concerts integrating music into the natural landscape.
