(CNA Reporter, Taipei, 14th) The 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (Consumer Expo) opened yesterday in Haikou City, Hainan, setting up a Taiwan special exhibition area for the first time. A total of 20 Taiwanese companies and 24 brands are participating. Hsu Shu-po, Chairman of the General Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of China, stated that this is the first time the Chamber has organized a delegation to exhibit, which will not only allow more consumers to discover Taiwanese products but also help Taiwanese enterprises expand their business.

According to mainland Chinese media outlet China News Service, the 6th Consumer Expo opened in Haikou on the 13th. With the theme of 'Openness Leads Global Consumption, Innovation Drives a Better Life,' this year's expo features over 3,400 brands from more than 60 countries and regions. International exhibits account for 65%, a 20-percentage-point increase from the previous edition.

The report mentioned that the 'Taiwan Special Exhibition Area,' making its debut at the Consumer Expo, launched on the same day with 20 Taiwanese companies and 24 brands jointly exhibiting. The area brings together premium goods such as classic Kaoliang liquor, culturally creative ceramics, souvenir pastries, health supplements, and Taiwan high mountain tea, attracting numerous visitors to stop by for inquiries.

Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor (Xiamen) Trading Co., Ltd. brought 11 types of liquor this time. Booth manager Zhu Li said that their liquors are not only widely popular in the Taiwanese market but have also garnered a good reputation in coastal cities of mainland China. The company is currently actively expanding its mainland market and marketing globally, hoping to connect with more distributors and seize the opportunities of the mainland's opening up.

According to the report, Pan Xianzhang, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, claimed at the launch ceremony of the Taiwan special exhibition area that this year's Consumer Expo not only fully demonstrates the characteristics and development vitality of Taiwan's consumer industry but also fully reflects the firm confidence of the Taiwanese business community in the mainland market.

Yin Libo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and President of the Hainan Overseas Friendship Association, stated that the addition of the Taiwan special exhibition area at this year's expo aims to use this largest consumer goods exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region to help Taiwan's specialty consumer goods reach the world and to help more Taiwanese enterprises integrate into the domestic and international dual-circulation development pattern.

According to the report, Hsu Shu-po stated that this is the first time the General Chamber of Commerce has organized a delegation to participate, which not only allows more consumers to know Taiwanese products but also helps Taiwanese enterprises expand their business and establish partnerships, showing a very high willingness among Taiwanese businesspeople to exhibit.
