Yu Jing, spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in India, posted on social platform X on the 6th that the first Indian business delegation to visit China in more than five years is in Shanghai, focusing on clean energy (renewable energy), supply chains, etc. Yu Jing emphasized that 'the thaw is real,' and posted the national flag icons of China and India at the end of the text.

Global Times reported on the 9th, citing local Indian media, that this Indian business delegation consists of 8 people from Indian startups in electric vehicles, battery energy storage, etc. They visited China from March 29 to April 4, focusing on renewable energy and electric transportation, and visited Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu.

During their inspection in China, the Indian business delegation contacted more than 20 Chinese companies from the renewable energy and electric vehicle industry chains. Members of the delegation were impressed by the high degree of automation inside Chinese factories and the vertical integration capabilities of electric vehicles and renewable energy system components.

Global Times noted that the Indian business community expressed support for the delegation's visit to China, welcoming technical cooperation, joint venture factories, equipment procurement, and supply chain localization. However, they also expressed concerns that factors such as India's high tariffs, lengthy approval processes, and policy instability would affect the promotion of subsequent cooperation.

CNBC reported on the 7th that since last year, both China and India have been improving their relations. The visit of the Indian business delegation symbolizes another step forward in the warming of relations between the two countries.
