Answering the call of friendship, belief, and adventure, the world of "One Piece" is leveling up. Netflix announced today via press release that it will partner with Shueisha to launch the live-action Season 3, "One Piece: The Alabasta Battle," in 2027.
In the new season, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will be caught in a massive storm sweeping through the desert kingdom of Alabasta, controlled by Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords, and his underground organization Baroque Works, who are attempting to seize control of the kingdom. Facing civil war and encroaching enemies, the Straw Hat Pirates will make difficult choices, vowing to protect the kingdom from destruction.
In addition to the live-action sequel, the platform will also release an anime special "LEGO® One Piece" on September 29th, created in collaboration with the LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Atomic. The anime is divided into two major arcs and recreates the storylines of the first two live-action seasons in LEGO's unique style, combining humorous pacing, high-stakes adventure, and plenty of brick-action scenes.
