Penghu Pengnan Grand Flagship Project Launched, Creating a Vision of Welfare-Oriented Communities

The "Penghu Pengnan Grand Flagship Project" held its "Tide Towards Sustainability. Six Communities Resonate. Hand in Hand to Create" launch ceremony this afternoon at the Mashali Community in Penghu. Vice Magistrate Lin Jie-xing presented a rudder to Mashali Community Chairman Cai Wutong, witnessed by Speaker Chen Yuren, Magong Mayor Huang Jianzhong, and Director of Social Affairs Zhou Boya. The development associations of collaborating communities such as Tiexian, Suogang, Wude, Shanshui, and Fenggui also responded on-site, working together towards a happy and sustainable community vision. Lin Jie-xing stated that the "Penghu Pengnan Grand Flagship Project" is jointly promoted by the Mashali Community in Magong and five other communities, leveraging the strength of their old, middle-aged, and young populations. The project's rich and exciting content aims to implement welfare-oriented communities and move towards a new milestone of community well-being and sustainable development. Chen Yuren expressed the council's full support for the communities' cooperation in promoting distinctive sustainable development. Zhou Boya mentioned that the "Penghu Pengnan Grand Flagship Project" will be promoted from this year until 2028, with NT$1.5 million allocated in the first year by central and local governments. Each community will separately implement six major features: "Seeking (Algae) Happiness Sea Waves," "Rope Twisting for Women's New Life," "New Residents' Silver Future Community Companionship," "Elderly Floor Bowling," "Little Farmers All-Ages Friendly Farm," and "Tiexian Qingfeng Youth-Elderly Resonance."
