Li Shijie, Director of International Affairs at Da-Yeh University, stated today in a press release that in line with the Ministry of Education's New Southbound Policy, the Department of Electrical Engineering has established the 'Program for Promoting International Students' Arrival and Retention in Taiwan – International Industry Talent Education Special Program,' launching the semiconductor special class. Lin Shengyi, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, said that the special program recruits international students from Southeast Asia and plans a two-year training curriculum. The first year will focus on semiconductor fundamental theory, supplemented by specialized lectures from industry professionals to strengthen students' practical abilities. The second year will arrange internships at partner companies to deepen professional skills, achieving the goal of integrating learning with application.
Lin Shengyi mentioned that partner companies will provide students with a monthly scholarship of NT$10,000 in the first year and internship salaries in the second year, with opportunities for employment after graduation. Through the linkage of courses, internships, and employment, a complete talent cultivation mechanism will be built to attract international students to study and work in Taiwan.
