Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che attended the 'Tainan Summer Mango Festival' at the Far Eastern Department Store in Taoyuan today, praising Taoyuan's impressive purchasing power. He brought mangoes, passion fruit, papayas, bananas, and a variety of processed agricultural products to promote Tainan's high-quality produce to Taoyuan residents.

In a media interview, Mayor Huang stated that Taoyuan is the fastest-growing and most vibrant city in northern Taiwan. He expressed his goal of introducing Tainan's best agricultural products to consumers, including mangoes, passion fruit, papayas, bananas, and various processed items.

He remarked that Taoyuan is a vibrant and rapidly growing city, noting the large crowds on weekends and its impressive consumer strength.

Mayor Huang pointed out that Tainan mangoes have achieved excellent sales results in European countries such as France and the UK, as well as in Asian nations like Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. This year, mango production has increased by 30%, and sales have continued to rise. Prices are also improving, with overseas consumers willing to pay higher prices for Tainan mangoes; the high-quality fruit is also favored by many Korean celebrities.

The Far Eastern Department Store in Taoyuan collaborated with the Tainan City Government to host the two-day 'Tainan Summer Mango Festival' pop-up event on the 1st floor on the 18th and 19th. Thirteen Tainan agricultural brands traveled north to exhibit and sell their products, inviting the public to support local Taiwanese agriculture through their purchases. Simultaneously, witnessed by Mayor Huang, Irwin mangoes were donated to vulnerable groups to share the sweet blessings together.
