BizLink-KY Approves Two Fundraising Plans to Support Overseas Procurement Needs

(Central News Agency, Reporter Zeng Renkai, Taipei, July 3) Connector manufacturer BizLink-KY is accelerating its expansion. The board of directors today approved two fundraising plans: issuing overseas unsecured convertible bonds and overseas depositary receipts (GDRs), with the purpose of supporting overseas procurement fund needs.

BizLink announced today its resolution to issue its 7th series of overseas unsecured convertible bonds, with a maximum total issuance amount of US$500 million (approximately NT$15.9 billion) and a term of 5 years.

The BizLink board of directors also approved a cash capital increase to issue common shares for participation in the issuance of overseas depositary receipts (GDRs), with a provisional number of shares to be issued ranging from 4.5 million to 6 million shares. The total issuance amount will be determined by the number of shares issued and the actual issue price per share.

According to BizLink's announcement, the purpose of both fundraising plans is to support overseas procurement fund needs.

Optimistic about the AI business opportunities, BizLink has been actively expanding recently. In June, it announced the cash acquisition of Interplex Group's data communications business, Interplex Datacom. BizLink will pay a transaction enterprise value of US$850 million, plus up to US$50 million in contingent consideration to be paid in subsequent years upon the achievement of certain conditions as stipulated in the share purchase agreement. The total investment will be up to US$900 million, approximately NT$28.7 billion.

BizLink General Manager Deng Jianhua stated that this transaction is the latest important strategic move in BizLink's 30-year development history. By integrating Interplex Datacom's business, BizLink will further consolidate its market position in the integrated data center infrastructure sector, provide a more complete solution portfolio, and continue to drive product development towards higher complexity and higher added value.
