Located at the finest point of Sun Moon Lake's Hanbi Peninsula, Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake stands at an altitude of approximately 750 meters above sea level. Its summer average temperature is 5 to 8 degrees Celsius lower than that of the western plains. This summer, the hotel officially launches its annual program, "2026 Summer Mountain Lake Retreat," with "highland summer retreat" as its core concept. It invites travelers to reside in the serene and luxurious "Lakeside Art Museum," weaving together mountain mist, lake views, and Nantou's seasonal flavors through spatial design, culinary offerings, and experiential activities to create perfect summer retreat memories. This allows travelers to return to pure coolness and sensory tranquility amidst the scorching summer heat.

As the most luxurious resort hotel in Sun Moon Lake, Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake uses "Lakeside Art Museum" as its brand's core imagery. This summer's program continues the brand's "Quiet Luxury" spirit and reinterprets the summer journey through "spatial value, flavor value, and experiential value." "Summer Mountain Lake Retreat" unfolds around four main themes: "Summer Retreat, Quiet Luxury, Mountain Lake, and Terroir." It invites travelers to temporarily escape the city's high temperatures and, within the space known as the "Lakeside Art Museum," re-experience the composure and tranquility that summer should entail. Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake states that true luxury is not just about extravagant external experiences, but about finding a place that cools the body and slows down the mind. Therefore, this year's "Summer Mountain Lake Retreat" is specially developed around the four main themes of "Summer Retreat, Quiet Luxury, Mountain Lake, and Terroir," inviting travelers to temporarily leave the city's high temperatures and hustle and bustle, and within the space known as the "Lakeside Art Museum," re-experience the composure and tranquility that summer should entail.

Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake combines the terroir characteristics of Nantou's 13 townships to create a five-sense dining table exclusively for Sun Moon Lake's summer. The chef team uses local seasonal fruits such as passion fruit, pineapple, peach, banana, dragon fruit, and purple jade grapes, combined with mountain and forest seasonal flavors like Litsea cubeba, Aiyu jelly, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and high mountain tea, to showcase Nantou's terroir. Among them, the Summer Mountain Lake Hand Roll Bar offers flavors like seafood, seared beef, and seasonal vegetables, cleverly incorporating fruity and oceanic layers. Creative hot dishes combine mountain forest spices like Litsea cubeba with cooked dishes, and use passion fruit sauce to garnish fried items, presenting a refreshing sweet and sour summer flavor.

Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake is also launching two limited-time summer accommodation packages: "Fragrant Harvest" includes one night's stay with two meals and a passion fruit picking experience, arranging for travelers to visit Nantou orchards to pick summer fruits themselves and experience the purest local terroir. The "Sky Mirror Helium Balloon" package allows guests to experience a helium balloon ride over the Nine-Nine Peaks upon check-in, offering a new perspective to admire the beautiful Nantou mountain scenery. Han-Lai Sun Moon Lake also offers a limited "Summer Dessert Calendar" to add different seasonal flavors to the journey.
