(CNA reporter Shen Ru-feng Keelung, July 3) A 19-year-old sister in Keelung City allegedly became angry and injured her 15-year-old brother with a knife today after an argument over him being too noisy at home. Fortunately, the boy's life is not in danger. After questioning, police transferred the sister for investigation on suspicion of attempted murder.

Keelung City Police Department's Second Precinct Xinyi Police Station received a report of a dispute within its jurisdiction this morning. Officers arrived at the scene and found a boy injured, while the woman involved was taken away by police for investigation.

Police stated that according to preliminary understanding, the two are siblings and argued over a trivial matter. The sister temporarily lost control of her emotions and wielded a knife, causing her brother to be injured. After being sent to the hospital for treatment, the boy is conscious and his life is not in danger. Following police questioning, the sister was transferred for investigation on suspicion of attempted murder.

Keelung City Education Bureau Deputy Director Yang Yong-fen stated that after receiving the information, she immediately rushed to the hospital to visit the boy. This boy is a junior high school graduate this year. His condition is currently stable, and he will require further diagnosis and treatment from a surgeon. Although the boy has already graduated, the Education Bureau will continue to provide psychological counseling and consultation. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 1150703
