Taiwan stocks rise 36.46 points

(CNA Taipei, July 3) The Taiwan stock market closed with a slight gain of 36.46 points today, reaching 46780.62 points, an increase of 0.08%, with a transaction value of NT$1,155.7 billion.

The weighted index opened at 46545.14 points, with a intraday high of 46948.83 points and a low of 45880.69 points; the index excluding financial stocks was 42209.13 points, down 1.54 points.

Percentage changes for the eight major stock categories: Cement and pottery stocks rose 0.17%, food stocks rose 1.69%, petrochemical stocks rose 2.37%, textile stocks rose 3.60%, machinery and electrical stocks fell 0.24%, paper stocks rose 3.21%, construction stocks rose 1.37%, and financial stocks rose 1.11%.

Buy orders were 22,678,994 shares, sell orders were 15,497,671 shares, and transactions were 12,031,986 shares.

At the close, 847 stocks advanced, 199 declined, and 55 remained unchanged.

The top 5 stocks by transaction volume were Innolux, China Petrochemical, Yuanta Taiwan 50 Leveraged 2x ETF, AUO, and Fubon Top 50 Upgraded ETF.

The top 5 stocks by percentage gain were Lungteh Shipbuilding, Hong Guang, Yulong, Cheng Shin Rubber*-Creation, and Re-Gen-KY.
