Taipei Water Fun Festival Kicks Off July 4 with Upgraded Attractions and Discounts

(CNA, reporter Liu Jianbang, Taipei, July 3) The Taipei Water Department announced today that the 2026 Taipei Water Fun Festival will begin on July 4 with the theme "Two Venues, One Summer." The water play facilities at the Water Country Garden in the Water Park have been upgraded, and the Water Fun Paradise has also reopened. On the opening day, admission to the Water Park will be free, and admission to the Water Fun Paradise will be discounted.

The Taipei Water Department issued a press release stating that the Taipei Water Fun Festival has been held for over 20 years and is one of Taipei's most representative summer events. The two venues are must-visit locations for many parent-child families every year.

The Water Department stated that the Water Country Garden within the Water Park was renovated this year. The internal facilities are not only designed for children but also feature comprehensively upgraded water play equipment and new water cascade facilities. The newly reopened Water Fun Paradise is a major highlight this year.

The other venue, Water Fun Paradise, formerly known as Water Goku Paradise and Lode Castle, has been re-planned and renovated. It now features a large outdoor waterslide and lazy river facilities located in the city center, creating a safe and fun water play space for citizens.

The Water Department mentioned that both water play areas are located near Gongguan Station on the Taipei Metro. Visitors can walk or take public transportation with their families. An opening ceremony will be held on the morning of the 4th. The "Ice Festival" will take place from July 4 to 5. Participants who complete designated tasks can redeem limited-edition Taipei Water Fun Festival popsicles. There will also be a fair on-site, combined with the Gongguan Business District Association and night markets, offering discount plans in collaboration with local businesses.

To expand the water play experience for families, the Water Park has also partnered with the Taipei Metro Recreation Company's Children's Amusement Park "PILIGILI Water Park" to launch a cross-venue discount event, inviting citizens and tourists to participate. (Editor: Guan Zhongwei) 1150703
